Terms and Conditions of Booking
The following pages affect your legal rights and obligations. Please read these carefully and only sign if you fully understand their contents. For Participants under 18 years of age, these documents must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
Privacy Statement – Privacy Act 1998
By completing our booking form you are supplying JD Barnes and M Langley (Trading as Mark Langley Horsemanship) (“the Provider”) with personal information about yourself. This information is needed to ensure your safety during your time with us.
The Provider is required to collect this information by our insurance company and by the department of Workplace Health and Safety and State Health Authorities and their Departments or Contractors.
This information you provide will not be supplied to any other organisation or used for any other purpose than insurance, medical assistance and COVID contact tracing.
1.1 By registering yourself or your child on a Mark Langley Horsemanship Clinic, you agree to the use of photographs and videos, or other pictures of applicant, in promoting Mark Langley Horsemanship education and programs, marketing and fundraising (for exceptions please contact our office).
1.2. By registering yourself or your child on a Mark Langley Horsemanship Clinic, you agree to not take any videos.
1.3. By registering yourself or your child on a Mark Langley Horsemanship Clinic, you are applying to ride with the Provider. You agree to the following Expected Behaviour: i) You/your child will only ride the horse in a safe and controlled manner; ii) You/ your child will wear an Australian Standard Approved Helmet and the correct footwear at all times; iii) You/ your child will read and follow all signs on the property and follow all instructions iv) The instructor/ guide may cancel your lesson without refunding any fee if you do not comply with any of these terms and conditions.
1.4. All costs for medical services (other than basic first aid) are at the expense of the participant. By registering you give permission for medical attention and authorise the instructor in charge to administer first aid and call an ambulance.
1.5. Accidents and Injuries are an unfortunate and inherent risk within the activities undertaken as a part of clinics. By registering on a Mark Langley Horsemanship Clinic participants or their legal guardians are agreeing to the Mark Langley Horsemanship Risk Warning and Waiver of Liability.
2.1. All registrations require a minimum deposit to be received in order to for a place to be allocated. Payment can be made by credit card through a secure gateway at time of booking, or electronic funds transfer. Mark Langley Horsemanship do not see nor store these credit card details.
2.2. All 2,3,4 & 5 day clinics require payment of the balance no later than 6 weeks prior to the clinic commencing or the participant’s place and the deposit will be forfeited. All 6 & 8 day clinics require payment of the balance no later than 8 weeks prior to the clinic commencing or the participant’s place and the deposit will be forfeited.
2.3. All prices are in AU$. Mark Langley Horsemanship clinics are GST inclusive.
2.4. Applications will be accepted in the order of their arrival, however Mark Langley Horsemanship reserves the right to accept or reject any booking.
3.CANCELLATIONS AND TRANSFERS
3.1. Transfers only permitted at time of cancellation. Transfers only accepted outside of 6 weeks of the clinic start date. Transfers can only be done once for that calendar year.
3.2. For 2/3/4/5 day clinics, Cancellations made 8 weeks prior to the commencement of a clinic have an administrative charge of $50. Cancellations made within 8 weeks of the clinic will incur a late cancellation fee of $100. Cancellations made within 8 weeks of a clinic are not refundable unless the clinic runs full (in which case a $100 cancellation fee will incur).
3.3. For 6/8 day clinics, Cancellations made 8 weeks prior to the commencement of a clinic have an administrative charge of $100. Cancellations made within 56 days prior to the commencement of the clinic will forfeit payment unless the clinic runs full in which case only the deposit fee will be forfeited. For 10 day clinics, Cancellations made 12 weeks prior to the commencement of a clinic have an administrative charge of $200. Cancellations made within 12 weeks prior to the commencement of the clinic will forfeit payment unless the clinic runs full in which case only the deposit fee will be forfeited.
3.4. Refunds for cancellations within 6 weeks of the clinic are not processed until after the clinic.
3.5. Card processing fees are not refundable should you cancel/ make an incorrect payment.
4. OTHER
4.1. All clinics must meet a minimum number to run. A full refund will apply if Mark Langley Horsemanship cancels the clinic less a $10 admin fee per participant.
4.2. Clinic details are subject to change without notice.
4.3 Mark Langley Horsemanship reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings.
