When you work on your foundation, get leading working well before you move onto other lessons. In this session, I show you where the rope knot should be positioned and go over some technique to improve your effectiveness.
Once your leading works really well (see Following Bo 1 to check this) you can introduce something else - could be a saddle, a saddle blanket, a belly rope - or in this case - the flag. Reminders of how to use the flag well and how to use it to create awareness. This video also covers how to deal with distraction.
In this third part of this series, I help this mare to not feel driven on a lunge (through leading); and then transfer this to trusting the reins under saddle. This lesson also includes teaching her to let go of a thought.
After some slow but thoughtful lessons with me, this is the first trotting lesson with her owner. I guide him through helping her to free up her shoulders in a walk and then to trot to his rhythm.
